Benjamin Moore Natura paint

Zero VOC

By sponsored October 2, 2014

My daughter has been asking for months to redo her bedroom she is tired of the pink and now wants purple.  We have been buying stuff as we find it but I have been dragging my feet to actually paint the room because to me painting feels like a big chore and I try to do it as little as possible.

Then Benjamin Moore asked if we would like to try their Natura line of paint so even though I was not looking forward to painting the room I agreed since my daughter really wanted the pink gone!  Redlands Paint on Redlands Blvd carries Benjamin Moore paint so we went there to check out all our color options.  Benjamin Moore offers more than 3,400 beautiful paint colors but we were able to narrow it down to two, we were having a hard time deciding cause we were just not sure how dark/light they would look once on the wall.  That is when a helpful employee came over and pulled up both colors on the computer so we could get more of an idea what they would look like on the wall.  It was great cause we could pick a room that had similar furniture, white, and then he showed us both colors on the walls with that furniture.   Immediately we knew we had to go with the darker color cause the lighter one looked too washed out in a room with white furniture. We chose Heather Plum in a eggshell finish.

Now time for the hard part, paint the room.  I am not an expert painter so I taped off the baseboards and doors and was ready to paint.  As we started painting the color was just what my daughter wanted, it went on thick, it did not drip and looked like it was covering very well.  Best part there was no smell to the paint.  We had the room painted in no time.  The dry time is 30 minutes to the touch and 1-2 hours for re-coat but we let the room dry overnight just cause it was late and then applied a second coat the next day.  With how well the paint seemed to cover I think the only reason we had to apply a second coat was because of the finish on our walls, we have a orange peel finish, so one coat may be all you need on smother walls.  In the end it really took no time to get her room painted and it looks great and she is happy. From now on I won't need to drag my feet anymore when it comes to painting because Benjamin Moore makes it easy.

The paint we used is Natura Waterborne Interior Paint & Primer by Benjamin Moore.  Natura is Benjamin Moore's greenest paint so it is safe for your family and the environment.  This it the perfect paint for kids rooms and family spaces because Natura has no VOC and zero emissions and carries the Green Promise designation.  Natura gives you a durable and washable surface.
