Meet Your New Macaroni Kid Publisher for Redlands- Highland

November 20, 2019

Welcome.

My name is Trish and I am your new Macaroni Kid Publisher for the Redlands-Highland area. It is such an honor and privilege to bring you all the local family-friendly fun in Redlands, Highland, Mentone, Yucaipa and Loma Linda.

A little about myself and my family. I am a Biological, Foster and Adoptive Mom to 10 (yes, you read that right) amazing kids. Right now, I am in almost every stage of parenting there is.

I have four adult children. One in college and one is getting ready to start college (at home). We have a teen, a 9yr old, three four-year-olds (at least until two of them turn 5 in December) and a 3 yr old.I am also Grammy to 6 beautiful grandchildren who are the apple of my eye.

Even before we began fostering, our family was large compared to most. Finding activities for my family to do was necessary for my sanity and our survival. I would spend hours scouring the internet, local paper, etc. to find activities and events to keep us busy. After we began fostering, we not only needed to find fun activities to do, but we needed to find activities to accommodate the different special needs our family now had.

That is when I found Macaroni Kid. Before becoming a Publisher, I was just like you. A desperate mom, searching for activities to keep my kids busy. I subscribed to Macaroni Kid and boom!! A calendar was delivered to my inbox each week. I didn't have to spend hours searching for activities, only to be too exhausted even to go. So, when the opportunity arose to become the Publisher, I knew I had to take it.

Another thing to know about me is I am all about families and the community. Being a parent is hard! But, being a parent without a community is even worse. To me, the community is more than just buildings and businesses. It's where you spend most of your time making connections with real live people. Those people become part of your support network, and therefore, build you up and help you grow and nurture your children so that when they are older, they too can be a part of that community.

My hope, as we get to know each other better, that we will build a connection. And through that connection, you will grow your community and support network so that when the journey gets tough, you don't feel alone.

But first. Make sure that you are a subscriber to our weekly newsletter. This way, each week, you will have a plethora of activities and events at your fingertips.  At that point, all you have to do is decide which event you want to attend. And from there, begin to grow your community!

Yours Truly, ~Trish
