As a mom, I am often caught off guard by all of the things I come across on a daily basis. It literally begins the moment I wake up and it doesn't stop until my eyes close. And even then, I dream about all of the crazy things I experience as a mom. Then, one day, I was scrolling through Facebook and there on the screen, were two moms, Cat and Nat, sitting in their car, making a video. They called these videos, Mom Truths. And let me tell you, they hit the nail on the head. It was literally as if they plucked the events of my life out of my head and used them for their videos. It was like having two best friends who spoke out loud, exactly what I was thinking or feeling. I didn't think it could get any better.
I was so wrong!!!. Enter Mom Truth's Game. It is a Cards Against Humanity style game only it's about Moms. The goal of the game is to create the best pairings of Mom Truths using the setup and completion cards. Some of the content is a bit raw and uncensored, but all of it is absolutely hilarious.
Here is an example:
Set-Up Card says:
Fantasies about the dad of my child's friend always involve________.
Completion Cards say:
A. being "THAT" mom
B. living only for the next episode of the Bachelor
C. being hot and bothered
D. my kid's inability to flush the toilet
The person who uses the Set-Up card gets to choose which card she thinks fits the statement. The mom whose card is chosen gets the point.
My friends and I played this game after a long day with our kids. The laughter was nonstop. Some of the cards were so funny, we nearly peed our pants from laughing so hard. I will also add a small disclaimer: DO NOT TAKE A DRINK WHEN OTHERS ARE READING THEIR CARDS. You will choke on whatever you are drinking. This is definitely a must-have game. You will become the Queen of your Mom Groups when you bring this game to your next Mom Play Date. Seasoned moms, newbie moms, and moms in training will all have a blast playing this game. It might even be a bit more fun to include some male counterparts in the game, to see if they can resonate with these Mom Truth's, too!
