Reading Takes Us on Adventures

A Note From Your Publisher

By Trisha Adams August 17, 2020

Is your family a reading family? Ours is! My husband takes a book with him everywhere he goes. It can be a novel. a comic book, or an audio book. I used to read a lot of fictional books, but as the years have gone by, I read more self-help/parenting books. I, too, like to read them on audio, because I am often too busy with all of my kids, to sit and read for leisure. But I still love a good book. My children are the same. They love to sit and read. My 4yr old is really into space and geography right now. He loves the planets and maps. My 10yr old really loves adventurous chapter books. My 16yr old is really into true crime type non-fiction, and also American History. My girls ages 3, 5 and 5 love to sit and look at Look and Find books.

With school approaching, I decided to have an Usborne Books and More party to help get books to compliment our curriculum this school year. I got some really fabulous books. My kids were so excited when we opened the box and saw all the cool books inside. I decided to also devote this newsletter to some really awesome book recommendations you can add to your library.

To me, books are an adventure to get lost in. I hope that as my kids grow, they will fall deeper in love with reading.
